CV-Data is a collection of definitions contained within a data set, forming a basis for consistency in data collection. Within CV-Data, there are 41 data elements and 2 data concepts. It has been defined as a clinical metadata set and is primarily designed for use in clinical settings. The definitions used in CV-Data are designed to underpin the data collected by health professionals in their day-to-day practice. They relate to the realities of a clinical consultation and the ongoing nature of care and relationships that are formed between doctors, other clinicians and patients in clinical practice.
